The World

The world itself is unique to the group, located in a made believe world heavily inspired by the Nordic countries and the island filled Finland. The territories are breathtaking- from the rocky hills in the coast, to the misty ancient pine forest, with a golden glade of birch trees and the ancient ruins of a forgotten village.

There are four seasons in the group, following the normal season cycle of the Nordic countries.

Spring/New leaf is often long, rainy and very wet, yet it brings forth new energy and willpower as nature awakens from its slumber.

Summer/Green Leaf is very, very short and often used to fatten up and acquire new territory as quickly as possible.

Autumn/Leaf Fall is depressingly long and dark, with heavy rainfall and cooling weather. Birds move out and prey starts to run low.

Winter/Leaf bare is long, cruel and very, very cold. A terrible sickness could wipe out an entire generation of cats. Fights are often deadly because of herb shortage.

Wolfclan

The Fangs

A group of rocks jutting from the ground, like an open hungry maw of a defeated, decomposed, loser of a Godly war. These rocks are oddly white and pristine looking... Even if there are cracks, there is no moss, lichen, or ivy to cover them.

The Lichen Field

A smooth rocky field at the edge of the sea, this place only grows lichen and crooked, stunted pine trees. The prickly lichen provides a natural protection for the camp and is often a place to practice hunting and fighting. A beautiful place to look at the sunset as well.

The Howling Fjord

A fjord that splits the territory, its steep edges are a dangerous place as one could easily slip and plummet to their death. This place gets its name from the way the wind howls in it. Wolfclan cats believe you can hear whispers in the wind.

The Needle Woods

The only place in the territory where healthy pine trees grow abundantly, this is a place of group hunts and a great source of herbs. These only natural and healthy trees are a place of great importance to Wolfclan, as it seems to be the only safe provider of food and safety. They see it as a gift from Itha, and the forest is treated as a holy site. Black ivy grows around the trees now, a sign this place is now shared with Jahi.

Bearclan

The Bog

A marshy, wet area where the river runs down to from Swanclan. Large islands of moss float around in these waters, making it a dangerous place. Cats have drowned after falling into the waters, only to be swept away by the strong current that flows under the moss blanket. However, this is a great place to hunt toads, grouses and lizards.

The Boulder Woods

An area filled with huge moss covered boulders. They seem a tad unnatural, as if someone had dropped the rocks from the sky, but to Bearclanners this is a wonderful place to practice balance on their bumpy terrain.

The Scarlet Maple

The one and only maple tree that grows in their territory. Its leaves always stay a crimson red hue and its bark seems to have been whitened by time. The beautiful tree is surrounded by the tall evergreen trees, and it's the only place of true beauty in these rough forests. It's a place of peace and worship for Bearclan.  Its scarlet red leaves are now painted with black eyes, staring at all cats who birth under it. A sign from Jahi that this is her shrine as well now.

The Evergreen Grove

This place is the densest part of their territory. Menacingly tall pine and spruce trees dominate the land, their branches so thick that no sun hits the forest floor. Mist often clings to tree trunks and to the moss floor.

Mooseclan

The Birch Glade

A beautiful birch forest, the largest trees growing in odd straight lines, the space between the trees filled with smaller birch and other soft leaved trees. It provides a natural shelter for their camp and it's a place where strangers often get lost. A wonderful place to hunt for Mooseclan thought.

The Hoof Path

A path that leads down stream to the river, a road often used by moose and deer. This can be a dangerous place if wandered to during mating season when they are agitated.  Otherwise this is the safest place to get fresh water.

The Great Oak

As the name suggests, The Great Oak is an ancient oak tree. It is unclear where it came from, as there are no others like it in the forest. Mooseclan cats believe it to a gift from Itha due to its rarity and the way its branches look like massive antlers.. This is a place of spiritual importance to Mooseclan. The trunk of the tree is filled with claw marks from ancient leaders. Its trunk has gone white,  a sign that Jahi has claimed this tree as a shrine for her as well.

The Shifting Blooms

A field of sweet smelling flowers, shifting in colors as the moons pass during Greenleaf. The fields go from honey gold of dandelions in the spring, to deep purple of thistles in the fall. It's a beautiful place used by lovers and apprentices alike, sneaking off from clan duties to relax.

Swanclan

The Prickly Field

It's a large field with wheat growing on it, with prickly plants and odd, sharp objects made of shiny material scattered around. The field is surrounded with slowly decaying and ivy overrun wooden fences, and some oddly shaped rock decorations.

The Lovers Rowan

A large rowan tree right outside of Swanclan camp, that looks like two rowans tangled into one large one. The amount of berries this tree holds tells how much snowfall the clans will get. The berries are also used by Swanclan sage's to aid with pain during Leaf-fall, but only then, as the berries have been fermenting in the sun. This place has a great spiritual importance to Swanclan as Soul Binding rituals are done under it.

The Pond

A small pond is the main bulk of Swanclan territory. This place is filled with fish, waterbirds and toads and its the main source of food for the water loving clan. Two rivers run down to it and one leaves it, so there can be quite the current in it during New-Leaf. But mostly it's a safe pool of water.

The Crack Willows

Old ancient willow trees with perfectly round shaped canopy. This place feels out of touch with the rest of nature, with odd flowers like roses, petunias and daffodils growing here. It seems it used to be a garden of sorts, and its the source of many herbs for the clan.

Neutral lands (Near the clans)

The River

The larger river that eventually ends in Swanclan's pond. This is a place where many loners and outsiders live, as the river provides them with fish and the surrounding forest provides shelter and prey.

Sunny rocks

A pile of rocks in the middle of the forest. This place is often used by loners and outsiders to mingle with each other and to warm up. Swanclan cats can sometimes get lost here.

The Gorge

A dangerous gorge by Mooseclan and Wolfclan territory. Mooseclan crosses it by going over a fallen tree to get to the Forked Pine.

Forked Pine

An ancient pine above the gorge has started to grow into four different directions, as if reaching for each of the clan's territories. The massive tree's roots come in and out of the ground, making the place look like it was infested with snakes. This is the place where gatherings and festivals are held.

Itha's Stars

An odd place by the sea near Bearclan territory. On the smooth stone of the shoreline is a hidden place where there are four perfectly round giant's kettles, one for each clan. These holes are filled with sea water and they reflect the sky perfectly, as if a mirror into Starclan. To speak with them you must drink the holy water or touch it with your nose.

Jahi's Eye

In a small patch of land on the river that runs from the Mournful fall is a massive weeping willow, hidden behind a thick batch of reeds. Its roots cling to the rocks on the shore like a tight fist. Below its roots is a narrow tunnel entrance in the shape of an eye. The tunnel is shallow, almost crawling space low, but it eventually leads to a small opening. At the center of a bed of forget-me-nots lies a cat's skull. This place is used to communicate with Jahi.

Neutral lands (Away from the clans)

Lullaby Lake

Near the settlement is a lake that eventually runs down to Swanclan's Pond. The Lullaby Lake is a quiet, mostly overgrown lake that offers a peaceful swimming and fishing place for the Smith's. There is a small wooden pier that has started to rot over time.

Traveler's Rest

An old barn, crooked and barely standing, this place is the halfway point to The Smiths. Cats often rest here while they travel from the clans to the Smiths and the other way around. The permanent Smith's residents take turns to live here in order to look after those traveling cats. â€‹

The Moonlit Woods

When one travels far enough north they will find a thick, old wood. The woods here are so dense, some places barely allow sunlight through. It seems to extend endlessly in all directions and is chock full of large and powerful predators.

While most cats would dare not travel here for it poses too high a risk for very little reward, it is the preferred territory of the Children of the Moon, who thrive in the harsher environment and enjoy taking down the large animals that live here.

The Smiths

Home

The Smith's home is an ancient twoleg village, with log cottages and a forge. Everything has been taken over by nature, with huge hyacinth bushes, apple trees, cloudberry bushes and everything else growing abundantly.

The Dawn Path

Often when cats travel the long distance to the smiths, they’ll walk into the smiths framed by a long, gorgeous gate of trees. This path, known as the Dawn Path, is considered a welcome spot for new travellers.

The path is prettiest during summer and autumn and during sunrises and sunset, making it a popular place for lovers to go on dates.

The Restless Den

An old twoleg den made with logs by the Lullaby Lake. It has strange wood levels and a shiny box with rocks in it. The cats don't know what it was used for, but rumors spread of this area being haunted despite being at the cups of the Lullaby Lake... Odd sounds come from there and elders warn young ones to stay away.

Bards rest

The home of the Sun Singers! This abandoned twoleg log den has a massive oak growing in the middle of it, through the broken roof It filters sunlight beautifully through its branches, like the sunshine was dancing on the walls of the den Its many branches and leaves hold the den’s ceiling in place and many cats make nests in the crevices of its branches. At the base of the tree is a large ‘’stage’’ made of rocks and wooden boards the cats have carried there. All are welcomed here!

The Daughters

Camp

The Daughters live underground, below a group of pine roots. The entrance is hidden under a carpet of moss. It's a large cave with multiple tunnels leading to smaller caves. One family tends to take one smaller tunnel and cave for themselves. At the walls of their earth cave are paintings of cats, eyes and bones. At the back of the camp is a shrine to Jahi, with daily new sacrifices.

Ancestors Pine

The largest tree in all the lands, the Ancestors Pine rises far above the mist. It is the middle point of the Daughter's territories. Below it is the starting point of the river.

Mournful Fall

The waterfall that comes from the mist. To get to the daughters you have to climb it. There is a hidden path to climb up safely.

The Cliffside

Dizzyingly high cliffs that border the southern edges of the daughters territory. These cliffs serve protection for them, most cats would not even know where to scale them without a guide.

Due to many cracks in its face, this place is often a refuge for lost travelers who need shelter from bad weather, or even a place for exiles and deserters to take refuge in after the safety of the mist. Due to the closeness to their settlement however, some daughters are tasked with patrolling and monitoring these areas to make sure any residents of the cliffs remain peaceful…

The Sons

Camp

Their camp is in a cave by a tall hill. It's dark and damp and a horrible place to live. Constant battles, training and yowls of fear and pain echo in the cave. Blood, bones and misery fill every corner of the cave. It is a world of its own, relishing in its hellish turmoil.

The Wound

Like the name suggests, The Wound is a deep, narrow gorge near The Son's camp. It is here where they throw their deceased members. Young cats often fall in during The Harvest when they run away at night.

Ambush Road

A small road where cats from the Smiths use to travel. The Sons often wait here to ambush traveling cats.

Harvest Woods

A name that serves a dreadful double meaning, the harvest woods serves as a great place of hunting for the sons of both animal and cat varieties.

Being the closest woods to home, many young cats end up hiding in these woods during their harvest. Hence its dreadful double name.

Itha's Ashes

Long ago, legend states that Itha was displeased with the lack of sacrifices and bloodshed, striking down the tempest at the time and setting the woods ablaze with his lightning.

The land has been covered in ash ever since, some plants beginning to grow but never quite thriving like most forests should after a fire. The sons claim it’s proof of Itha’s wrath and power and use the story to instill fear into the young. The leftover ash and charcoal however has sometimes been used to draw in their camp and even streaked across their bodies to intimidate their enemies.
